Job Description



The Position
A Finance Enterprise Partner (FEP) leverages the broad strategic financial and analytical expertise and perspective to proactively provide insights, set objectives and drive transformation initiatives that will ensure a sustainable business. The FEP is a strategic thinker with excellent business acumen who can leverage this deep understanding of financials to guide decision-making, provide analytical insight and business judgment to support strategic and tactical initiatives across the affiliate. As part of the broader Finance Community, the FEP will be committed to drive outcomes on an above country level.

Main Responsibilities:
Insights & Analytics

  • Models business scenarios and tracks performance metrics to enable the organization to make strategic and sound financial company decisions.
  • Proactively provides insights by leveraging internal and external sources of information (e.g. IMS).
  • Sets objectives and drives transformation initiatives to ensure a sustainable business.
  • Co-creates pricing strategies and partners with pricing teams to create sustainable business cases.
  • Uses predictive and statistical modeling techniques to solve challenges, uncover opportunities and develop solutions for internal stakeholders.
  • Identifies and evaluates opportunities and develops insightful recommendations on strategic direction.
  • Acts as an industry advocate and analyst to surface key industry trends.
Business Planning & Reporting
  • Leading regular updates of the Business Plan (OPEX & Sales) and updates the global ERP system with the most recent forecast
  • Drives best resource allocation process & decisions, both short and long term to maximize value to patients, partners and Roche
  • Oversee the financial performance of the affiliate and engage in timely business discussions, reflecting any updates into the Business Plan
  • Perform financial month end close activities as required

Partnering with Internal and External Stakeholders
  • Acts as a proactive and critical thought partner to the business teams (e.g. Disease Area Pods) in shaping the long-term direction of Roche and by contributing to short-term outcomes.
  • Partners and negotiates with external stakeholders (e.g. Fintech, Insurance, Healthcare Start-ups) together with business stakeholders; understands and supports the customers\' and external stakeholders processes, strategy and vision; co-creates new innovative business models that enable new opportunities and drive growth. With that, closely involved in E2E starting from building customer relationships until the monitoring of executed partnerships.

Compliance
  • Is aware of, adheres to, actively ensures and monitors compliance with all relevant rules and regulations
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Drives outcomes by joining above country initiatives for Pharma Finance.
  • Identify, analyze and drive continuous process improvements based on prioritization and relevance to business needs.
  • Lead process harmonization, simplification and standardization by leveraging the process excellence network as well as automation, digitization and digitalization of processes.
  • Involved in cross-functional projects as Finance representative.
  • Assist in development of company culture; encourage open communication and liaison across the affiliate and broader Roche network.
  • Adhere to company (both local and global) policies and procedures at all times, including Health & Safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties/projects as required.

Job Specific Competencies:
  • Deep understanding of Corporate Finance, Financial Modelling, Data Mining, Insights Collection & Trend Prognosis, predictive and statistical modeling techniques,
  • Deep understanding of data modeling to guide decision-making, solve problems, provide analytical insight and business judgment to support strategic and tactical initiatives across the affiliate.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, combined with effective business judgment and ability to communicate clearly and influence leadership teams.
  • While working on multiple projects at a time, they are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.
  • Organized, strategically focused, detail-oriented, and able to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.

Experience & Knowledge
  • Undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Finance or Economics (minimum)
  • MBA / Post Graduate in either Finance or Business preferred
  • Experience in working in an agile / networked organization is a plus
  • Excellence in SAP
  • Experience in data mining, data science and data visualization tools
