Job Description

Responsibilities 1. Food Safety & Quality Assurance: \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure legal compliance with existing hygiene and food safety legislation in accordance to Food Act 1983 (Act 281) \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in the review process of annual improvement QHSE year plan and roadmap. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide technical support and advice on Malaysian legislative (Food Act & it\'s regulations) and company requirement on Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and internal HACCP program. \xe2\x80\xa2 Take part in the process of site mobilizations to ensure food and workplace safety compliance prior to site opening. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure the safety standards are maintained and continually seek ways to improve safety standard. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with Sodexo\'s Country and regional team on improving the overall QHSE standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Updating latest food safety process and procedures, new operating process documentation if required. 2. Audits: \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct internal audits; provide support to operations team to formulate and follow up on corrective actions plans \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare sites and facilitate external audits \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow up with vendor and purchase team regarding any deviation from product quality in the raw materials/ conduct vendor audits in collaboration with Country HSE and Supply Management teams when necessary \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with Local Authority Inspectors and enforcement officials as required 3. Training: \xe2\x80\xa2 Deliver food safety training presentations to operational teams as appropriate \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify knowledge gaps and develop tools to deliver training \xe2\x80\xa2 Set up educational programs and campaigns to promote a culture of hygiene and food safety and environmental awareness \xe2\x80\xa2 Carry-out, follow-up and monitor progress of training and OJT for staffs on food safety procedures. 4. Other duties as reasonably requested from time to time.
