Fresh graduate are encourage to apply; Minimum two (2) years of hands-on working experience in similar position will be preferable
Possess Diploma/Degree in Food Science/Technology or related fields
Proficient in computer software for office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A good team player with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Good written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Analytical with a keen sense of observation
Able to start work immediately/ within a short notice period
Responsibilities
Food Safety & Quality Assurance:
Ensure legal compliance with existing hygiene and food safety legislation in accordance to Food Act 1983 (Act 281)
Participate in the review process of annual improvement QHSE year plan and roadmap.
Provide technical support and advice on Malaysian legislative (Food Act & it\'s regulations) and company requirement on Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and internal HACCP program.
Take part in the process of site mobilizations to ensure food and workplace safety compliance prior to site opening.
Ensure the safety standards are maintained and continually seek ways to improve safety standard.
Work with Sodexo\'s Country and regional team on improving the overall QHSE standards.
Updating latest food safety process and procedures, new operating process documentation if required.
Audit:
Conduct internal audits; provide support to operations team to formulate and follow up on corrective actions plans
Prepare sites and facilitate external audits
Follow up with vendor and purchase team regarding any deviation from product quality in the raw materials/ conduct vendor audits in collaboration with Country HSE and Supply Management teams when necessary
Liaise with Local Authority Inspectors and enforcement officials as required
Training:
Deliver food safety training presentations to operational teams as appropriate
Identify knowledge gaps and develop tools to deliver training
Set up educational programs and campaigns to promote a culture of hygiene and food safety and environmental awareness
Carry-out, follow-up and monitor progress of training and OJT for staffs on food safety procedures.
Other:
Identify food safety, quality and legality risk areas in stores
Develop procedures or materials for operation
Develop improvement plan for overall food safety, quality and legality program
Keep up to date with industry development, regulation revision and food safety alert
Analyze data and information for trending, reporting and manage performance
Other duties as reasonably requested from time to time
