Michael Page are excited to be partnering with a sports retail group based in Malaysia who are seeking a Group CFO to join their business. This position will play a key role in defining the financial strategic direction of the business alongside the CEO, as they continue their expansion into SEA.1 Responsible for the financial and corporate affairs of group of companies, including external reporting and investor relations responsibilities.2 Provide financial leadership, aligning business and finance strategy to grow the group business.3 Build analytical and tech savvy finance teams.4 Develop, improve and execute SOPs for the Finance and Corporate Department including financial reporting, internal control procedures and corporate governance.5 Drive cost effectiveness, benchmarking of KPIs and improve level of investment returns.6 Undertake corporate exercise such M&A, overseas investments, and corporate restricting.7 Provide strategic business advice and guidance to management to make sound business decision and meet the company\'s goals.8 Develop and maintain good relationships with key partners including customers, suppliers, banks, and landlords that will support business grow.9 To carry out any other duties as instructed by superior from time to time.10 To undertake any other job function as assigned by the superior and Management from time to time.Listed sports retail group in Malaysia|Support the continued expansion into SE AsiaTo be considered for this role, you will be an experienced CFO or Finance Director with at least 5 years experience leading the external reporting for a listed business in Malaysia. Previous experience in Retail will be highly regarded, as well as an interest in sports and the competitive sporting sphere in Malaysia.Our client is a specialist sports retail group with close to 100 retail stores across the region. Listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange, they\'re focused on expansion at both a local and regional level, with the view to open an additional 10 stores by the end of 2024.This is a fantastic opportunity for a CFO with a passion for sports and retail to join a listed and growing organisation. The role will have full autonomy over the finance and corporate services functions, and will also play a critical role alongside the CEO and Board to shape the future of the business.
