Assist IB CFO in supporting IB MD/CEO in all relevant financial matters of RHBIB Group

Deputize CFO, RHBIB in driving finance agenda regionally
Continuously improve finance related processes and work practices
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in overall financial reporting and business support to IB CFO, which in turn provides indirect support to IB CEO for critical business decisions based on financials
Provide finance related support for corporate exercises, new business development and investment evaluation, advising from financial, tax and capital perspectives
Driving finance agenda not only domestically but also regionally among all countries
Responsible for overall financial reporting for RHBIB Group and ensure quality timely submission of related reports.
Financial reporting shall include but not limited to lead and review statutory reports, regulatory reporting to various regulators in both domestically and on regional note.
Oversee and improve the process of preparing and issuance of financial and management reports to improve efficiency while retaining accuracy and compliance with relevant requirements
Provide input and drive as necessary the financial reporting requirements arising from implementation of new (i) products, (ii) financial reporting standards and guidelines, (iii) information systems
Display leadership in driving the team to meet stated objectives, while providing coaching, motivation and support to team members. Oversee the developmental needs of the team in terms of technical competency and business knowledge while ensuring proper succession planning growth
Display teamwork in cross departmental and cross entity dealings and work closely with senior management at all times.
Lead the team in providing end to end finance related support to Business Units in execution and daily operational matters for RHBIIB Group
Review periodic financial information (P&L/Balance Sheet) and analysis to the business units and other relevant parties pertaining to the business to enable performance management and regulatory reporting
Work with the business to:
review balance sheet schedules and substantiate the Balance Sheet items relating to the business
review business financial forecasts and budgets as necessary
review business case / assess financial impact for new initiatives
to review the necessary journal entries to account for transactions for month end closing
review accounting process/entries for new business process and product
Advice the business relating to
finance processes in relation to budget top up, CAPEX/OPEX approving authority, payment, invoicing etc
accounting standards/policy requirements to ensure compliance
Direct and indirect tax related matters i.e. SST/WHT etc.
Develop and enhance relevant Business Partner process and mechanism to meet requirements of users/ standards
Ensure, maintain and enforce a proper supervisory program and competent system of internal controls
Provide coaching, guidance, motivation, support, training and feedback to team members to achieve business objective
Display teamwork and work closely with other senior management personnel at all times.
Undertake any projects or tasks as assigned from time to time.
RequirementsRequirements:
Any professional accounting qualification
Knowledge in regulatory / stautory laws that are relevant to Banking Insititutions (BNM / GP8), Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards and Companies Act
Min 8 years of Accounting and Finance experience in large and complex organization (preferably public listed with group of companies)
Preferably with external audit background (big 4 accounting firm) and with managerial skills
