Our Client: Join a leading Solar Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) company in Malaysia that has recently formed a strategic partnership with a renowned multinational corporation for a series of groundbreaking solar projects. We are committed to driving sustainable energy solutions and reshaping Malaysia\'s energy landscape. Role Overview: As the Head of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth trajectory of our solar EPCC company. You will lead the charge in devising and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, understanding profit and loss dynamics, and leading a dynamic team of business development professionals. Your focus will encompass the commercial and industrial sectors, targeting clients such as office buildings, factories, shopping malls, and more. Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate and expand the commercial and industrial solar market across Malaysia. Lead a team of skilled business development professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Set and communicate clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the business development team, driving them to achieve ambitious targets. Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt strategies and identify new opportunities. Oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals. Collaborate cross-functionally with project management, engineering, and finance teams to ensure seamless project execution and profitability. Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to the executive leadership team. Actively contribute to the company\'s growth strategy, participating in strategic decision-making and expansion initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus). Proven track record of at least 8 years in business development, sales, or related roles within the solar, energy, or construction industry. Strong understanding of profit and loss dynamics and the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies. Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and motivating high-performing teams. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of Malaysia\'s commercial and industrial sectors, including regulatory frameworks and market trends. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
