Position summary

The Human Resources Rookie (6 months internship) will be part of the SAPAC HR team to support the day-to-day operation and administer various Human Resources policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with laws, standards and government regulations in Malaysia.

Areas of learning & responsibilities

Work closely with HRBP to support and administer various Human Resources policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with laws, standards and government regulations.

Provide administrative support, as needed to General Manager and HRBP. (Including creating and maintaining organizational charts, some scheduling, coordination, and preparation for key meetings).

Support both retail and corporate employee life cycle.

Ensure compliance with local labour laws & advisories.

Assist with onboarding of new teammates in partnership with the Recruiter, Onboarding team, and Hiring Manager.

Schedule/conduct exit interviews and analyze data & make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Oversee & manage all teammates\' engagement activities and recognition programs for retention.

Promote & establish a positive teammate experience; drive the UA culture through all levels of the business unit.

Office management duties as required.

What exposures will you gain by the end of the internship?

Exposure to the foundation of Human resources, local labour laws & advisories.

Ability to understand and gain hands-on experience to support employee life cycle.

How to communicate across a diverse organisation with many different cultures, geographies and preferences.

Who are we looking for?

Strong interest in Human Resources is an advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Strong multi-tasking skills & sense of urgency (good time management).

Takes initiative and is able to work independently with strong follow-up skills.

Independent learner who is open to being guided by Seniors & Managers within the organization.

Team player mindset with communication & collaboration skills.
