Client Background: MNC Company Industry : Financial, Trade, Data Analysis and Technology solutions Location: Johor Bahru Headcount: 1 Position Title : IT Helpdesk Support Engineer Tenure: Permanent Remuneration: RM4,000 - RM7,000 Responsibilities Provide day-to-day in-house IT support by phone, email, remote, and face-to-face. Manage the installation and maintenance of hardware & software including computers, laptops, VMs, database, Sharepoint, printers, mobile devices, projectors, etc. Deployment of desktop Operating System, software application, VMs and database and apply system patches, testing and configuration and automation. Manage the diagnosis & repair of IT hardware/software and contact the appropriate service vendors when necessary. Perform Asset Management of Infrastructure and maintain records of work performed Be responsible for completing assigned tasks on time and to the satisfaction of the users. Provide technical support across the company, including SG and JB two locations and liaise up with team in other countries to maintain the systems if necessary. Provide technical support to server and network infrastructure (servers, network devices workstation and VMs), and perform regular upgrades to keep systems updated and backup. Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality. Assist with any ad-hoc tasks as required by the IT Department / Team Leader. Requirement Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate or Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or equivalent. Good troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu and Red Hat) and Windows 10/11 Operating systems and VM (virtual machine) technology, Mac OS, and Office 365 applications suite (including Sharepoint) in terms of installation, configuration, backup, troubleshooting and automation. Familiar with Database (Mysql, Sqlite, MangoDB, Postgres) Basic coding skills (Scripting, Shell and Python) for automation Able to work independently and in a team.
