We are looking for an Account Manager who will be responsible for managing the Foodservice distributor/wholesale channel across the portfolio of brands. This is a highly autonomous role, you will provide a route to market for the portfolio, delivering sales growth, new distribution, and incremental profit for the DKSH and their clients, through professional customer management and interactions.

Some of your responsibilities will include

  • Ensure accurate forecasting is maintained with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain team for all customers.
  • Manage and implement price changes with the channel as required
  • Manage negotiations including trading terms and conditions, to facilitate sales agreements and achieve targeted margins.
  • Facilitate and coordinate Foodservice end user opportunities to align to the distributor network
  • Develop promotional and trade activation programs with distributors to drive new distribution of our brands in end users accounts in Foodservice channels
  • Regularly liaising with our brand owners/Clients, to ensure channel plans are aligned to overall brand plans
  • Identify new business opportunities/customers with the view to gaining incremental business.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Insights, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain) to ensure efficient and effective execution.
  • Regular review of trade debtor accounts, credit limits, working with Finance to ensure AR payments are within specified timeframes.
  • Ensure all internal systems are constantly updated, liaising with the Sales Executive role to ensure information is timely and accurate at all times.
  • Interstate and regional travel will be required on an as needs basis
About you

You're a natural communicator, confident and engaging in your approach. As you will be dealing with a variety of stakeholders, manage and develop the existing distributor relationships in the channel and onboard new distributors/wholesalers aligning to the objective of a National Route to Market for the Foodservice Channel for the portfolio of brands. You will be able to tailor your approach, influence and collaborate effectively to build trust and gain credibility.

We're ideally looking for someone who has previous experience in managing a Foodservice account, demand planning, distributor relationships, developing commercial strategy from a sales, category, or financial background, ideally within the FMCG industry.
