REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years experience in the F&B industry required. Basic food safety / hygiene training or certification is advantageous (e.g., food handler license, HACCP knowledge). At least basic communicative proficiency in Malay; English is often required; other languages may be a plus depending on the outlet. Physical stamina: ability to stand long hours, lift/carry, work under hot/humid conditions. Capable of adhering to instructions and ensuring alignment with superior's directives. Good time management; able to work efficiently during busy periods. Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, public holidays. Ability to work overtime when required. Proactive / willing to learn; adaptable to changing demands in kitchen operations. Willingness to take on responsibilities outside the scope as assigned by top management.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. Follow SOPs provided and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all health and safety standards are met. Wash and sanitize all kitchen, storage and dishwashing areas. Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure quick and smooth service. Dispose of trash and waste properly according to cafe procedures. Ensure all cleaning supplies and tools are stored properly. Support kitchen staff with daily operations when needed. Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor.
