Job Description


Our Role:Support the Logistics Specialist - SEA to optimize the logistics pillar within the supply chain operating model by managing and procuring the containers freight for all export and imports, land transportation, warehousing activities. The role will include continuous optimizing supply chain flows to deliver a sustainable reduction in the cost to serve, whilst improving the supply chain value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.Key focus areas the role will include:

  • Support the designing and establishing bulk and containerized export supply chains encompassing the procurement of services through delivering and monitoring the performance of those supply chains.
  • Deliver contract management of third-party warehouses, export and import containers freight and transport service providers to achieve the agreed level of service within the contracts.
  • Manage, coordinate and optimize all plant to port and port to plant logistics activities covering finished goods and raw materials.
  • Manage inventory level and operational expenses at all 3rd parties\xe2\x80\x99 warehouses, at optimum cost occur with the level up service provided to customers and to increase competitiveness of the company.
  • Continuous Improvement of all customers complaints through effective corrective and preventives actions.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators for carriers, freights liners and warehouse providers. Use these to benchmark operations and target continuous improvement within Southeast Asia and ensure optimal cost to serve solution is being used.
  • Ensure compliance to road, sea an air regulatory requirement by developing, implementing and maintaining uniform compliance systems and processes.
  • Provide guidance and framework within logistics compliance activities. These include chain of responsibility, carriers\xe2\x80\x99 safety and services standard, site safety inspections and other standards and regulations involved with transportation of products.
  • Have ownership of all Export Permit requirements, including the accountability to ensure all permits are valid.
  • Have ownership for the Export & Import documentation process, including delivery through internal or external resources to ensure that the required documentation to ensure all export requirements are met.
  • Optimization through innovation or regulatory approval, to increase heavy vehicle payloads across Malaysia
  • Proactively lead, and champion Safety, and ensure Safety always is part of all activities.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:
  • At Least 2 years working experience in logistics and/or Supply Chain management, preferrable to have strong experience and connection with Containers Shipping Industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing and operating warehouses activities.
  • Strong Analytical skills and data interpretation
  • Strong coordination and teamwork with internal functional team as well as external parties.
  • Knowledge and exposure to logistics regulatory documents and systems.
  • Preferred degree or professional education in logistics and/or supply chain management
