:

The

Purchasing Executive (Sourcing Specialize)

is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery performance for production and indirect materials. The role involves building strong supplier relationships, supporting cost reduction initiatives, and ensuring continuous supply to meet production and project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers locally and overseas to support business and production requirements. Source materials, parts, and services in line with company cost, quality, and delivery objectives. Prepare and issue RFQ (Request for Quotation), analyze quotations, and perform price benchmarking. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings. Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when necessary. Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality departments to ensure supplier capability and compliance. Maintain supplier database and documentation for sourcing activities. Support localization and cost-down projects. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and ISO requirements. Prepare regular reports on sourcing status, cost analysis, and supplier performance.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree

in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum

2-3 years of working experience

in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing -- preferably in a

manufacturing environment

. Good knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier evaluation, and negotiation techniques. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficient in

Microsoft Office

(Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an added advantage. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines. Good command of

English and Malay

(Japanese language ability will be an added advantage). Possess a high level of integrity, initiative, and teamwork spirit.
