The R&D Chef supports the development and testing of new tea and beverage products also gourmet food for pairing. This role assists with recipe trials, ingredient preparation, testing, and documentation to help create consistent, high-quality drinks & foods.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and testing new tea, beverage and food recipes
Prepare ingredients for drink trials (tea leaves, powders, syrups, milk, toppings)
Accurately measure ingredients and follow test procedures
Record recipes, test results, and feedback
Help improve existing drinks & foods based on guidance and testing results
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the test kitchen or lab
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Assist with sample preparation for internal reviews or launches
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of tea, beverage and food recipes preparation
Interest in drink and food innovation and product development
Attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good organization and time management skills
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Preferred (but not required):
Culinary, food science, or hospitality training
Experience in cafes, tea shops, or beverage preparation
Basic understanding of recipe documentation
