Senior Executive, Total Rewards

Job Description

We are looking for a Total Rewards, Senior Executive to join our talented regional People & Culture Team. The Total Rewards function sits under the People Centers of Expertise pillar of the People and Culture team. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, you will be responsible for supporting our regional Total Rewards function reporting directly to the Head of Total Rewards, who is based in Singapore.

It is a regional role where you will be responsible for supporting the design, planning, implementation and maintenance of the Total Rewards programs and processes in the Southeast Asia region where our company operates. In the process, you will be liaising with our People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Team and Line managers to support on Total Rewards matters.

Responsibilities:

Policy and Governance

  • Work closely with the Head of Total Rewards to develop and implement guidelines, policies and processes
  • Maintain and improve the guidelines, policies and procedures for salary and benefits administration
  • Support the Head of Total Rewards in the implementation of segmented compensation and benefits strategy including but not limited to salary structure design, skills-based pay design and competitive benefits design
  • Coordinate the change and communication effort in the area of compensation and benefits
  • Administer the company's long term incentive program operations working closely with our parent company
  • Participate in special projects as and when required
Salary Proposal & Review
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to propose role budget for new hires taking external market data and internal employees' salary data into account
  • Explain and support managers and stakeholders on salary related matters, using good analysis and evaluations and provide insights on market movement and key trends
  • Review and advise on compensation related changes submitted by managers
Performance and Salary Review Exercises
  • Support the performance management and compensation review cycles including increments and bonus review for the region
  • Develop effective communication materials pertaining to performance and rewards cycles and launch of new initiatives, where required
  • Conduct employee-level market salary benchmarking and detailed compensation analysis at the company level
  • Coordinate all cycle review meetings with the People Business Partners and Line Managers and Leaders
  • Work closely with our HRIS team to manage all system related configurations for performance appraisal and compensation exercises
Benefits Management
  • Develop attractive and inclusive benefits programs that meet the needs of our diverse employee population, are compliant with local regulations and don't break the bank
  • Stay informed of the latest Benefits trends
  • Support annual benefits review exercise at the regional level
  • Work closely with our country people business partners and benefits broker for the administration of our benefits programs
Market Intelligence
  • Participate in our regular salary surveys
  • Increase the depth of market intelligence by proactively suggesting suitable surveys to participate in
  • Develop and evolve compensation market intelligence tools and analytics which includes identifying and aggregating diverse sources of data relevant to the different roles we have
Must-have requirements for this role:
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in business, HR or data analytics discipline
  • At least 2 years of compensation & benefits experience
  • Basic knowledge of current and future C&B trends
  • Basic knowledge of survey methodology of any consulting firms
  • Ability to think critically and be agile
  • Ability to collaborate along with a strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proficient Powerpoint and / or G-suite skills
Good-to-have requirements:
  • Experience of working in a fast paced Retail or eCommerce industry would be an advantage
  • Experience in C&B/ Total Rewards consulting would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques such as conjoint analysis, regression analysis will be a significant advantage
  • Experience in performance management will be a plus
