Job Summary:


This role will lead and execute Human Resources activities. It covers all aspects of Human Resources and General Admin functions. The Senior HR Manager will work closely with the Director in driving HR practices and objectives that support an employee-oriented, high-performance culture focused on quality and productivity. The role is responsible for developing processes and metrics that support the achievement of the Company's business goals.

Scope of Role:



Be part of the senior management team for strategy and planning, organizational development, leadership, change management, and embedding KitchenCo's values, professionalism, and culture into the system. Provide structure to the Human Resource function through resource planning, performance management, and training and development. Oversee the smooth and efficient running of administrative services within KitchenCo. Travel to field locations as required.

Responsibilities:



A. Organization Development and Strategy:



Create a Human Resource structure by strategizing and planning according to the organization's needs. Create a leadership and succession pipeline from entry level upwards to take on higher and changing responsibilities. Manage job evaluations and define roles and responsibilities, including span of control per level. Incorporate culture, core values, management structure, and guiding principles for employment (for office and field personnel). Instill skills within leaders to analyse and forecast future needs through training and development. Oversee, monitor, and report organizational performance metrics to the Chief Executive Officer/Board of Directors (CEO/BoDs).

B. HR Functions:



Map resource needs and proactively plan for new projects/focus areas to ensure the right person is selected for the right job. Create an effective performance appraisal mechanism. Develop a system to manage rewards and recognition to keep employees motivated. Identify high performers and groom potential leaders for KitchenCo. Develop, monitor, implement, and improve HR policies such as the Code of Conduct, Sexual Harassment Policy, and office procedures. Manage and structure compensation and benefits at all levels. Advise on legal issues of the organisation with consultation from relevant bodies when required. Understand payroll and its practices to support effective payroll functions. Prepare monthly Management Reports, BOD Reports, Key Risk Indicator Reports, etc. Liaise with external and internal auditors. Provide counselling, conduct exit interviews, and brief the CEO/BoDs on the outcomes. Prepare the Annual Training Plan/Calendar and Annual Manpower Budgeted Headcount. Manage foreign worker matters - visa/permit applications and approvals. Undertake any assignments as required and instructed by the Managing Director.

C. Administration:



Create administrative strategies to implement best practices in a cost-effective manner. Oversee and control KitchenCo's expenses related to travel, printing, recruitment, and other external services. Manage office maintenance and repairs, procurement of equipment and supplies, and office space planning. Liaise with senior management on all administrative issues.

D. Team Management and Professional Development:



Manage a team of HR professionals and be responsible for their performance and professional development. Work harmoniously with all teams and balance between project and program priorities. Attend seminars, conferences, and learning sessions, and stay updated on best HR practices.

Requirements:



Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post-Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Solid knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR practices. Familiar with current HR best practices and standards. Good understanding of payroll processes and administration. Able to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities with a results-driven mindset. Excellent command of both verbal and written English. Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a managerial role within the Human Resource field. Demonstrates strong leadership qualities with a charismatic and pleasant personality. Must be a Malaysian citizen. Knowledge or understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts is an added advantage.
