Job Description


POSITION GENERAL SUMMARYLead and manage Rewards & Performance Management Strategy Department in developing, implementing and continuously improve the Competency-based Performance Management System, and rewards strategy within the organization to drive high performance culture and support the Company\'s corporate values, business strategies and objectives.ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONSPerformance management

  • Lead, plan and design strategic performance management system, constantly enhancing and implement robust performance methodology and practices across the MAHB Group to support the business needs.
  • Drive performance review through Mid-Year and End Year Performance exercise to ensure an effective and performed driven culture.
  • Lead the analysis of staff performances\' and report to the management.
Key Performance Indicator
  • Work closely with business unit especially Corporate Planning in cascading of SMART KPIs through workshop or coaching session.
  • Drive the initiative in making sure KPIs are cascaded downwards and translated into work goals and support MAHB business objective.
Rewards Management
  • Drive, formulate and develop company pay philosophy and effective reward strategies to successfully attract and retain the right talent for the business
  • Lead and direct the development and implementation of the organization\'s compensation programmes and activities which will meet the organization\'s objectives with regards to internal equity and external market competitiveness.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness of the employee remuneration packaging and compensation by monitoring the performance management processes are adhered by the respective businesses in the organization.
Policies &Procedures
  • Formulates policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient running of human resource function to support the business operations.
  • Manage the effective and efficient implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to performance management and rewards.
  • Continuously review processes and procedures and make appropriate amendments where necessary to ensure relevancy of current policies in relation to business and operational needs.
Resource person
  • Provide advice, guidance and information to MAHB on matters pertaining or relating to performance management and rewards policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure the workforce understand and implement correctly to meet the departments, divisions, companies and groups goals and objectives.
  • Being an internal HR consulting and oversees effective resolution of related HR activities and ensure strategic partnership and synergy with stakeholders to maximize human capital returns
Staff Development
  • Create a conducive working environment that would enhance staff productivity in achieving departmental objectives through motivation, coaching and career progression and development.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, review and develop a team of rewards & performance management professionals to ensure that the organization\'s rewards & performance management strategies are implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the organisation complies with all the relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.
Relationship Building
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal & external parties including vendors, government/ statutory bodies, industry practitioners to support smooth running of HR operations.
Key Challenges
  • Line managers\' ownership - to ensure all line managers doing the correct way on appraisal assessment.
  • Timely submission of Performance Management Form from Head of Division/Department.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of conducting performance appraisal exercise to entire organization.
  • Unavailable demand of information from company.
  • Keeping the compensation and rewards structure competitive and relevant; receptive to the current trends
Skills
  • Must have good understanding and experience in all areas of HR
  • Must have good communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to represent the division in Management, Board and external meetings.
  • A self-starter with strong interpersonal skills who can communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • A team player who can build positive relation at all levels.
  • Result oriented.
  • Possess leadership qualities with strong analytical mind
Relevant IndustriesExternal
  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience in Management role.
  • Palladium Norton Kaplan Balanced Score Card Certification will be an added advantage
EducationExternal
  • Degree preferably with specialization in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Master degree would be an added advantage
