We are looking for a highly motivated lawyer to support our rapidly growing and evolving businesses in South East Asia. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment covering a broad range of general issues but with a strong grounding in commercial law. You will be responsible for counseling the business operations in South East Asia by giving pro-active, solution oriented and creative legal advice. Working in collaboration with key business and functional key partners you will advise the business on legal risks, business solutions and strategies and other issues related to the Company\'s businesses in the South East Asia Region. Key Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities will cover a variety of legal issues concerning our manufacturing, R&D and commercial activities in South East Asia and will include the following: . Providing legal advice and support on a wide range of legal activities . Advising on regulatory issues across a broad range of issues including pharma services, medical devices, EHS, export compliance, anti- corruption compliance, data privacy and anti-competition law . Drafting and negotiating a wide range of simple and complex contracts including OEM, distribution agreements, tender documents, sale and purchase agreements, licencing and confidentiality agreements . Advising on general business law issues and managing the legal issues of all areas of the company, including but not limited to corporate matters, procurement, safety, security, insurance and sustainability issues . Ethics and Compliance and governance services . Collaborate with the other members of the legal function in other regions . Anticipate and manage the legal risks arising from the business and operations . Support the business\' ability to comply with relevant laws and regulations through timely advice . Provide and maintain awareness of relevant laws and regulations through communication and training and . Deliver high-quality work under deadlines. Basic Qualifications . Bachelor\'s Degree in Law . Malaysia (or other regional) Bar Membership. . 10 years legal experience in legal practice/in house counsel. . Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters. . Experience in managing external legal counsels. . Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications . Strong Project Management Experience . Strong experience with anti-corruption/data privacy/competition compliance . MNC experience . Ability to lead/manage a team .
