Job Description


DescriptionPrimary Objective:Work closely with the Head of Innovation to execute a comprehensive innovation strategy that aligns with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s vision and strategic objectives.

  • Support the team in coordination and organization of internal and external innovation programmes, and partnerships across the organization.
  • Contribute to the various stages of identifying, prioritizing and incubating high-potential projects with an aim to generate value
  • Contribute to the development of the entire innovation value chain, from ideation, discovery to funding & implementation of innovation programmes.
  • Contribute to the crafting of Innovation initiatives and preparation of necessary presentation materials to senior Management Committees & Board (i.e. slides & frameworks).
Support the various administrative tasks required as part of the Innovation programmes (i.e. internal documentations, stakeholder management).
Key Responsibilities:Innovation strategy
  • Support the Head of Innovation in the development and execution of strategic innovation initiatives in line with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s long term strategy
  • Support any other projects & initiatives under the Innovation team (i.e. RHB\xe2\x80\x99s strategic investment into Boost Bank)
  • Oversee the progress and status of Innovation projects and ensure stakeholder engagement and alignment on innovation strategy
  • Escalation of issues/bottlenecks to senior team members on a timely basis
Customer centric innovation
  • Assist in the collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including various business units, partners and industry experts to gather insights and stay informed about emerging trends and opportunities
  • Support the collaboration with RHB\xe2\x80\x99s internal business/functional units in identifying pain points, and bottlenecks for opportunities to advance innovation
  • Support the development of innovation programmes suitable to RHB, and ensure innovation initiatives are executed in line with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s priorities such as Dragon\xe2\x80\x99s Dens, Hackathons, Accelerators etc.
  • Assist in other activities that facilitate innovation capacity building within the organization
RequirementsRequirements:
Bachelor Degree - Business, Accounting, Banking, Finance, Economics or other relevant disciplines..
  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience in the related field
  • Prior working experience in banking industry will be an advantage
  • Experience in Agile ways of working
  • Good analytical and digital capabilities
  • Ability to present and engage with various stakeholders
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable across RHB product portfolios
  • Well-informed on developments within the banking sector
  • Good understanding of key bank processes
  • Good business financials and planning knowledge
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge on analytical tools
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable across diverse range of topics beyond banking & able to synthesize ideas from disparate fields
  • Well-versed with Microsoft software for reporting/presentation purposes
