Primary Objective:

• Conduct regulatory limit surveillance for RHB Banking Group to detect any gaps and breaches via available resources
• Develop innovative approach to detect potential breaches in regulatory limit monitoring and reporting
• Ensure timely escalation of any issues/ concerns identified
• Assist on other surveillance related work including areas related to Treasury and the potential misconduct of dealers

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct banking regulatory limit monitoring and reporting to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements
• Liaise with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure the regulatory limit monitoring tools and surveillance controls are up-to date and accurate, including improving surveillance practice
• Identify and recalibrate monitoring indicators to ensure effective surveillance
• Contribute to design and development of compliance controls to enhance surveillance oversight and coverage. This includes developing new scenarios or triggers, where feasible, to detect potential breaches in regulatory limit requirements
• Assist with the establishment and monitoring of a risk appetite metric
• Perform necessary review, investigation and escalation to the Team Lead/ Chapter Lead if there is any potential gaps or breaches identified
• Provide periodical reports and/or reports on an ad-hoc basis for management notification/ approval
• Maintain repository of surveillance issues and concern
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the regulatory environment
• Assist with Treasury Surveillance, as and when needed
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or relevant professional qualifications.

• Possess at least 5 - 7 years of experience/ knowledge in regulatory compliance
• Experience in market/ financial risk management or surveillance related work will be advantageous
• Experience specifically in Treasury related surveillance will be advantageous
• Good acumen to detect any potential regulatory gaps and breaches
