Job Description


Description Primary Objective: 1. Oversee and manage the operations of the Group\'s wholly owned Nominees Companies 2. Handling processing of local & foreign corporate actions / subscription of e-Rights entitlements, payment of cash dividends / cash distributions, share transfers and depositions and maintenance of nominees accounts 3. Review, enhance and establish existing / new work processes / IT programs to improve operational efficiency / productivity to meet group business needs and continuous demands of the clients 4. Provision of branch / share trading center support 5. Ensure effective customer service for both internal and external clients Key Responsibilities: Operations . Oversee Custody & Nominees unit and to ensure timely processing / subscription / acceptance / disbursement of local & foreign corporate actions / e-Rights entitlements, dividends / cash distributions of nominees accounts . Ensure statutory rules and regulations, internal policies and operational procedures are strictly adhered by staff . Periodical review and update of the operations manual related to custody & nominees services, BCP, custodian agreement and internal prescribed forms . Review list of bank / Bursa authorized signatories and prepare / submit board papers for change of authorized signatories and notify affected parties . Provide efficient customer service to both internal and external clients and co-ordinate with share registrars / foreign agents / custodians / regional offices / clients / DRs / STCs on matters relating to corporate actions / entitlements / provision of custody & nominee services . Maintain and perform regularly housekeeping of both internal & offsite storage. Process Improvement . Review operational issues / perform risk assessment and identify appropriate solutions and thereafter implement the new policies and procedures to prevent recurrences and tighten control / mitigate risk exposure and financial loss . On-going review, enhance and develop existing / new work processes / reports / IT programs to improve operational efficiency / productivity and meeting Group business needs as well as continuous demands of the clients. BCP / DRP / UAT . Formulate / review BCP plan and prepare test plans, test scripts and participate in BCP / DRP / UAT testing Staff Management . Oversee staff performance and conduct performance appraisal . Assess and arrange staff training needs . Staff annual leave planning and monitoring Requirements Requirements: Bachelor Degree - Any related field(s). Minimum of 8 years of working experience in financial institution with exposure in custody & nominee services, fund management operations and knowledge in the business and regulatory requirements . Strong analytical and good rationale thinking, critical judgment and communication skills . Good management and leadership skills and self motivated .
