Job Description

As the mainframe card implementation manager, you are responsible for liaising and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the project initiation, analysis, design, development, testing, and pre- and post-implementation phases. The main objective is to deliver high quality and smooth card technology system extensions that are fully compliant with the prescribed frameworks and guidelines. This role includes managing the end-to-end flow, requirements management, active involvement/participation in design and development, managing test requirements, the technical delivery of the project with deployment and support plans in mind.

Job Overview

As the mainframe card implementation manager, you are responsible for liaising and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the project initiation, analysis, design, development, testing, and pre- and post-implementation phases.

The main objective is to deliver high quality and smooth card technology system extensions that are fully compliant with the prescribed frameworks and guidelines.

This role includes managing the end-to-end flow, requirements management, active involvement/participation in design and development, managing test requirements, the technical delivery of the project with deployment and support plans in mind.

Responsibilities

• Piloting the team of analysts and developers who are supporting the client's cards platform and strategic projects.
• Promote the development of high-quality card systems and assure adherence to business design concepts, global architecture principles, and security and control requirements.
• Build the team's capabilities to consistently maintain the repository of system features inventory and data maps for the cards domain
• Plan technical deliverables (including any system enhancements and upgrades) to meet project's requirements within allocated budget and schedule.
• Plan, monitor and manage risks/issues related to technical delivery and collaborate across different application teams to manage technical dependencies.
• Lead and engage in innovative problem-solving activities, requiring conceptual thinking creating 'out of the box' solutions with prototypes and pilots.
• Partner with Architects, Development Lead/Manager to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security, control standards and monitoring the applications team to build enhancements.
• Work alongside test managers to ensure the completion of system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), performance testing, and application security testing are completed successfully and with high-quality outcomes.
• Manage technical implementation plan across application teams - coordinate technical implementation activities across application teams to ensure non-event production cutover and adequate post implementation support
• Issues that have an immediate impact on the project schedule should be escalated, and solutions should be suggested.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 years is required for Delivery, Project, Stakeholder & Vendor Management experience, team management
• Hands on with systems development work, with prior coding, functional specifications and technical specifications and systems development and testing experience
• Accomplished in large-scale, highly available applications or large project implementation
• Advanced technical and/or platform knowledge (e.g., Cardlink)
• Excellent business domain knowledge in at least one area (e.g., Retail and Corporate Loans Origination)
• Existing track record of developing and delivering global/regional IT functions for multinational/regional companies with annual budget
• Experienced with SDLC
