Position Summary

Principal Responsibilities

1. To direct and control all activities so that set production volume from each work station is achieved during the shift.
2. To control all activities so that desired level of quality as per assigned standard for the shift is achieved by ensuring all related procedure are being strictly adhered to.
3. To plan and effectively utilize manpower allocated for the shift.
4. To ensure all work stations are well kept during the shift.
5. To ensure quality initiatives like TPS, 5S, Poka Yoke, TPM and other continuous improvement activities are promoted and carried out in the shift.
6. To conduct periodic training of the subordinates allocated so that their resources will be efficiently utilized.
7. Prepared to work abnormal and staggered hours as and when the need arises.
8. Ensure discipline is instilled at all times at production premises.
9. To inform superior/relevant personnel in event of any major problems pertaining to prolonged overtime, rejects, industrial unrest, fire, water shortages, etc.
10. To carry out other duties instructed by immediate superior.
11. Undertake effective OSH measures to ensure compliance, within the workplace, with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and other legislative requirements.

Education / Experience Requirements

Qualification :
Degree in Polymer Science or any related discipline.

Experience :
Preferable 1-2 years experience in similar capacity, preferably in Latex/Dipped Products environment; or HSC with min 5 years experience in similar capacity.
Experience in supervision is an added advantage.
