Assist in planning, organizing, and managing group-wide purchasing activities to support operational needs.
Vendor & Contract Management
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure consistent supply and service.
Assist in evaluating supplier performance and recommending improvements or alternatives.
Coordinate contract renewals, supplier agreements, and tender evaluations.
Cost Control & Budgeting
Monitor and analyze procurement costs to ensure cost efficiency and budget compliance.
Support in developing strategies for cost-saving initiatives and value engineering.
Coordination & Support
Collaborate with various departments (Operations, Finance, Engineering, Projects) to fulfill purchasing requirements.
Liaise with the Finance Department on purchase requisition approvals, invoice verification, and payment follow-up.
Assist in the preparation of purchasing reports, data analysis, and audit documentation.
Leadership & Supervision
Supervise and guide the purchasing team in daily procurement activities.
Ensure staff adhere to standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records.
Provide training and support to enhance team competency and performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a group or multi-division organization.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
Good knowledge of purchasing systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with ISO standards, audit procedures, and procurement best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve best value in price, quality, and delivery.
Prepare and review purchase orders, quotations, and tender documents in accordance with company policies.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and ISO standards (if applicable).
Support outlets and business units in identifying reliable suppliers and maintaining updated vendor lists.
