As a Cloud Operations Engineer you will be tasked with delivering automation, code, application stability consulting for eCommerce Public Cloud platforms globally.

• Identify the root cause of problems before they have a major impact upon business process and communicate these with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
• Introduce Automation reduce the reliance on manual intervention for tasks via creation of tools, pipelines, scripting and workflows.
• Actively participate in our left shifting strategy via new tools, automations, processes and self-service functions to empower business units and other IT Teams.
• Delivery of stable and performant applications and cloud operations practices.
• Provide effective monitoring of the commerce platform and internal applications.
• Be actively involved in developing and optimising processes to create efficiencies in daily BAU activities.
• Ownership of issues and drive to completion
• Reporting on key technology platform metrics to management
• Create and maintain good working relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
• Manage business stakeholder expectations through clear and accurate communication.
• Ensure training materials and technical documentation on new and/or existing features are kept up to date.
• Cross train peers, provide guides and technical documentation for other support teams.
• Collaborate with Technology team members within your team and across other teams to deliver outstanding results for our business stakeholders.
• Actively participate within the practice of Global Technical Services and contribute to the continual improvement of the practice.
• Participation and contribution to our Agile Way of Working.
• Document, and track issues and the reasonable steps taken.
• Perform daily application releases to both online and internal systems with clear communication to stakeholders on status of changes.
• Assist with analysis of the current IT environment and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Provide After-Hours Support (within a roster)

• At least 3 years\' experience in an Online Systems/ Web Application/ Operations Support/ Software Development role.
• ITIL Foundations preferred.
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology preferred.
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and Public Cloud services (experience with Azure or AWS is required).
• MSSQL experience and T-SQL query language; exposure to NoSQL is a plus.
• A working understanding of PowerShell/ Python or equivalent scripting language.
• Experience with Observability tools, Synthetics, APM Monitoring, alerting and dashboarding.
• Strong grasp of Automation toolsets.
• Exposure to containerization / Kubernetes.
• A working understanding of GIT and Repository use.
• Knowledge of best practices and IT Operations in an always-up, always available service offering.
• Exposure to Microsoft software development technologies - .NET.
• Exposure to SDLC practices.
• Driven Individual, positive attitudes and ability to self-learn.
• Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet tight deadlines.

Delivers services in Finance, Technology, Marketing & Digital, People, Legal, Real Estate Development, Procurement & Supply Chain, Voice of Customer, and Administration. These roles will support in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Taiwan.
