You will be the lead from Finance Planning & Analysis team (FP&A) as the Network Cost controller covering Capex and investment planning, and Opex which includes finding synergies and cost reductions. But not limited to target setting, forecasting, financial performance reporting, evaluation, analysis and ensure optimal financial governance to achieving the company-wide financial targets. This role requires a strong understanding of the telecommunications industry, financial expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization\'s financial objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to forecast Capex and Opex budgets for Technology Network division. Prepare regular reports, presentations, and analysis to communicate financial performance, trends, and recommendations to senior management. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate the financial feasibility of proposed Capex projects and relevant Operational initiatives in the telecommunications industry. Collaborate with business partners, within Network team to gather financial data, validate assumptions, and ensure accuracy in budgeting and forecasting processes. 2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Drive and lead the quarterly forecasting, working closely with business unit leaders to align financial targets with strategic objectives. Monitor actual spending against budgeted amounts and provide variance analysis to identify areas of improvement or cost-saving opportunities. Coordinate with department heads to develop accurate and realistic forecasts, adjusting projections based on changing business conditions in the market. 3. Cost Control and Optimization: Implement financial controls and procedures to ensure effective Capex and Opex management within the company. Analyse cost structures, cost drivers, and cost allocation methodologies to optimize operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenditures. Support validation on Synergy realization from Network Integration projects. Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities related to Capex and Opex spending, providing recommendations for risk mitigation and cost control specific to Network. 4. Business Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Network, to provide financial guidance and support in Capex and Opex decision-making processes. Serve as a financial advisor to business stakeholders, assisting in providing insights and financial data to support investment proposals and conducting financial assessment on any adhoc projects (if any). Responsible for the follow-up of investments after completion, ensure that the project owners track the connection between project benefits and project spending, coordinate and obtain justification from stakeholders on the findings and provide recommendations based on the findings. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, promoting a culture of financial accountability and cost consciousness within the company. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Bachelor\'s degree in engineering majoring Telecommunication is a plus. Over 8 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis, preferably in a similar role focused on Capex and Opex control within the telecommunications industry, specific to Network. Strong understanding of the telecommunications industry in Malaysia, including knowledge of industry-specific regulations, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Proficient in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis using spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) and financial systems (e.g., ERP). Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, specifically as they relate to the telecommunications sector in Malaysia. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across different teams and levels of the organization within the company. A fast learner, independent and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
