JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible and to lead the accounts payable ('AP') functions for a portfolio of companies in Malaysia. Scope involves as follows:
• Check and ensure all vendor invoices are supported with proper approval and relevant supporting documents.
• Input all vendor invoices/debit note/credit note in accounting system in an accurate and timely manner.
• All vendor invoices are paid promptly and correctly;
• Reconcile vendor's statement of accounts to system record;
• Follow up / monitor AP related queries in promptly manner;
• Involve in month end accounts closing;
• Handle general administrative matters, e.g filing, courier and others.
• Liaising with auditors and tax consultants on audit and taxation matters.
• Assisting in improvements to policies, internal controls, system, and processes.
• Assisting in other ad-hoc projects such as SAP implementation and testing, setting up of project companies, tax and treasury work.
• Assist in yearly statutory audit, drafting of financial statements in accordance with statutory regulatory requirements and applicable accounting standards.
• Assisting in month end closure of account.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or its equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant hands-on AR and GL experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Experience with SAP system and/or real estate knowledge would be advantageous.
